Every Picture Tells a Story

I was out and about shopping on beautiful Montana Avenue in Santa Monica {California} yesterday and came across the most delightful discovery...an art gallery specializing in the art of illustration called Every Picture Tells A Story Gallery. It carries original artwork from some of our most loved childhood stories. I was totally in heaven since they have priceless originals, numbered prints and classic artwork from Disney, Charles Schulz, Dr. Seuss, Tim Burton and more!

'Very Hungry Caterpillar' 40th Anniversary Print signed by Eric Carle {right}

One of my favourite stories when I was a kid {and yours too, I'm sure since it's sold something like 29 MILLION copies} was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. The Every Picture Tells a Story Gallery is the only gallery with the “40th Anniversary Very Hungry Caterpillar” giclee print, in a limited edition to 200 honouring the classic...and each print is personally signed and numbered by Eric Carle himself...Yay! They told me that only 100 prints remain and priced at only $450, I'm sure they won't last. I'm in discussions now with the hubs as to whether we can get one. The image is just too cute for words and I just have to have one to add to my slowly growing art collection. :)

Below are just some of the other limited edition signed and numbered prints I loved that were available at the gallery. Celebrities and fellow art collectors alike are sure to grab these quickly. In fact, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz bought this $5,300 extremely limited 'Nightmare Before Christmas' Print by Tim Burton for their gothic nursery when they were getting ready for baby Bronx to arrive...How sweet!

These really do take you back. I remember when my mom used to read to me at bedtime. I'm going to be in the LA area next week. I'll go and check this place out. I'd love to have one of these prints.

I'm on the other side of the world...and yet, we share many of the same childhood favourites. I love that my nieces are old enough to appreciate them all now.
Great post, thanks.

I definitely remember most of these and you've included some newer illustrations that are adorable too.
