More photos from the upcoming Alice in Wonderland movie, directed by Tim Burton. We're just LOVING these shots...and actually adore the shots below even MORE than the ones we showed you previously. You can see Part One of this "Pretty Things" Blog Feature HERE.

“The film is actually a sequel to the original story, and follows Alice, now 17 years old, as she escapes from a snooty party and follows a white rabbit down a hole, back to Wonderland. The White Rabbit is convinced that he has the right girl, the one who had visited the magical land ten years prior. But Alice doesn’t remember her past visit to Wonderland. The creatures of Wonderland are ready to revolt and are hoping/waiting for Alice to help them, but will she? Can she?”

Did YOU get a Golden Ticket?

Are you wishing you could be in Los Angeles for the Michael Jackson Memorial?

Well, we can't help you with that, but here is what the ticket and wristband to the event are reported to look like, in case you wondered: posted this picture and scam artists are most likely already hard at work copying it.
Craigslist Los Angeles is FULL of people trying to sell "tickets" possibly even printed off of this very photo, so we'd recommend not buying any tickets to the memorial from people you don't know.

It's gonna be a MADHOUSE on all of the LA freeways {yes, worse than normal...} due to people trying to drive close to and around the Staples Center area, so if you have to travel anywhere in LA tomorrow for work or appointments, you better leave NOW and stay close to where you need to be.

Are You Following Us??

Are you following us on SHOP PRETTY THINGS yet?

It's time to clean house and you are all invited to the shopping party! We're just getting started, but we'll be listing new things on a regular basis, so check back often!

Happy Fourth of July!

Wishing you and yours a very Happy Fourth of July!

We're having a Fourth of July BBQ to kick off the summer just right...celebrating with good friends, some all-American hot dogs, yummy ice cream treats, umbrella drinks and plenty of fireworks late in the day. It will be super sweet using some of the fun crafty party ideas shown here to make things patriotic and special.

Wish you could be here...Hope you have a blast today too!

For those not in the United States... Independence Day, more commonly referred to as the "Fourth of July", is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. This fun holiday is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.

When we are willing to surrender who we think we "should" be, true freedom is revealed and acceptance of "what is" becomes paramount. Surrender is not about giving up your Essential Nature, in fact it means embracing it fully and completely. When you surrender to the "real you," self-acceptance becomes the order of the day. No more wanting to be different instead, acceptance gives away to understanding, love and kindness.

When we surrender, we are willing to release what we think is "right" for "what is." We are learning to accept. We can let go of the past we give the power of forgiveness room to blossom. When we are truly willing to surrender, our egos are put aside for the truth; the truth of our actions, our language and our thoughts. In acceptance, we are free to make the conscious powerful choices necessary to alter our lives without guilt, shame or doubt.
