Hide and Chic...

If you remember back to early 2003, the SARS epidemic became a matter of intense public concern and people sought to protect themselves from airborne germs by wearing surgical masks. The image at left featuring model Eva Herzigova with a Louis Vuitton SARS mask appeared and was quickly exposed as a fashion hoax.

With the current buzz about Swine Flu and people again seeking surgical masks to avoid contacting the virus, we thought we'd take a reprieve to the lighter side of things with some mask fashion actually from the Autumn/Winter 2009 runways. Most of these won't do much in warding off the virus, but they sure look sweet...

Love It or Hate It?

Kim Kardashian, known for her gorgeous long brunette locks as well as her curvy shape, recently lightened up and went blonde! Do you like...?

* * *

Really it's just a wig from a photo shoot she did this
past weekend, but she’s contemplating the BIG change for real to this colour made popular by Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. ...And, YES, Men...hair colour, length change or getting bangs IS a BIG deal to us women and requires some heavy contemplation.

Our thoughts...
We think she looks a little TOO much like a Beyonce wanna-be with it, but with that gorgeous face, she looks great either way.

“I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend and they put this hair piece on! I haven’t taken it off since, because I’m really loving the look.”

Check out her look before and after {below} and then let us know what YOU think?

BEFORE...with her gorgeous dark brunette locks

AFTER...with her new blonde wig
Do you love Kim’s new look or not?

Pretty Things...Hair

This is our pick for hair style of the moment...long with bangs.

Nothing new, but it's a very flattering cut that frames the face beautifully.

Variations shown here on Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Lopez, with a third option that's a bit more fun and "punky".

We're calling the salon now to schedule an appointment...LOVE!

Warning: Curves Ahead

We're happy to announce that curves are finally back...and it's about time!

After years and years of anorexic models gracing the editorial pages of magazines, it seems that editors are finally realising that not
everyone respects and admires the stick thin, perfectly PhotoShopped {unrealistic} body type they've been spoon-feeding us.

Australian Harper's Bazaar features 'plus-sized' model Crystal Renn posing in sexy bustiers, strappy dresses, and sheer lingerie. The BEST part? Crystal used to be anorexic {!} and is living proof that being comfortable in your own skin is always more attractive than being PhotoShopped to perfection.
