So Sorry...

Sorry I'm not around this week or next.

Girls like me need a break now and again to travel, soak up the sun, buy pretty little things and have flirty fun at a BFF's wedding.

I'll be back in a couple of weeks with lots more give-a-ways, fashion, eye candy, artsy stuffs and celebrity gossip...I promise
.

In the meanwhile, please enter to win my give-a-way and feel free to send some love. I'll be thinking of you.

Big sweet hugs and kisses to you and yours!

"Celebrity Twitter Overkill" by Super Josh

Not Fair

For your listening {and viewing} pleasure, Lily Allen singing "Not Fair".
The video revolves around Lily's live performance at a TV show called "The Porter Wagoner Show" {reminiscent of "Hee Haw" if you ask us}.

In the 70's inspired video, Lily takes the stage singing to "Not Fair" alongside a country and western band, which includes a mullet-wearing banjo player and country dancing backup singers who look like Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn.

Listen closely to the lyrics of "Not Fair" as she sings about a boyfriend, who "treats me with respect" but "never make[s] me scream".

Phone Sex Humour and a New Give-a-Way

I love that all of my bloggy friends check in with me when they don't see my posts for a while. I love you all and I'm fine, really...I've just been a bit backlogged on all of my custom graphic art projects and orders, so I haven't had the chance to post as often as I'd like. Things will be back to normal soon, I promise. :)

Check back this SUNDAY for a chance to win mini prints of my newest work. This give-a-way will include all of my new prints, the rest of which will be posted this weekend in my shop. 8 winners in total will be announced. Again, that give-a-way will start THIS Sunday, May 10th...so be sure to enter.

Also! Artist features and give-a-ways will be starting up again next Sunday, May 17th as I know you love those so. Our feature and give-a-way next week will be Elsie of Namaste Designs and you won't want to miss it!

Now onto the Sex....humour, that is. :)
This cute little cartoon is dedicated to one of my most special bloggy friends...and she'll know exactly why. No, she's not a phone sex operator...but with her amazingly sexy voice, she could be! *insert heavy breathing here* hee hee

P.S. That the blob on the bed is supposed to be E.T.

Pretty Things Fashion Inspiration... Katy Rodriguez

When I came across Katy's images recently, I felt a vague familiarity like I knew her...and I discovered that our paths did indeed cross in the past.

As many of you know, I used to live in New York City. When I lived there, not only did I design and model clothing, I also shopped for it like a maniac. I had an entire room of my 4 bedroom Hell's Kitchen apartment devoted entirely to clothing, shoes and accessories...a lot of which still had tags on it many years later when I cleaned house in order to make my move to Los Angeles. {I'm not the only one who does this, right?} *sigh*

Anyway, TMALSS...I realised that I used to shop in the East Village vintage store that Katy Rodriguez co-owned called "Resurrection". I looooved that store!

Now, Katy also resides in California and designs her own line, drawing inspiration from "
her insatiable love for history’s quirky fashion characters and sartorial worldliness".

For her SS 09 collection, Katy played with the complex relationship of the Spanish bourgeoisie and ancient Mexico. She mixes elements of tailoring and European refinement with the vibrancy of Mexican folk attire to create a wearable palette of fine Italian cottons, gorgeous laces, and printed silk. Her collection epitomizes the political heroine, a rule-breaking woman who espouses her cultural identity while simultaneously maintaining a fierce independence and strength. The collection is sophisticated, vibrant, and innately feminine.

I'm sure that you'll love her beautiful work as much as I do...now, who wants to go shopping?
