Hide and Chic...

If you remember back to early 2003, the SARS epidemic became a matter of intense public concern and people sought to protect themselves from airborne germs by wearing surgical masks. The image at left featuring model Eva Herzigova with a Louis Vuitton SARS mask appeared and was quickly exposed as a fashion hoax.

With the current buzz about Swine Flu and people again seeking surgical masks to avoid contacting the virus, we thought we'd take a reprieve to the lighter side of things with some mask fashion actually from the Autumn/Winter 2009 runways. Most of these won't do much in warding off the virus, but they sure look sweet...

I love Junya Wantanabe and this stuff is cool. Great fashion you show. If this epidemic is another reason to buy clothes, then I'm all for it. Ok, just kidding about that but I do love to shop. LOL ;-)
