Freaky Friday...Golden Brooks
I don't know who this is...but, the caption under the photo said her name is Golden Brooks.
I don't know why, but she realllly freaks me out for some reason.
Don't get me wrong, the dress and shoes are killer and I'd wear both in a heartbeat.
It's just something about her face in this picture {right}. Something's just off to me...a little Michael Jackson if you will.
And, then I saw the back view and was totally grossed out...
Her back skin tone is strangely blotchy and sooooo much darker than her face. It's just too too weird.
...And, it's NOT how one should present herself when wearing such a back revealing dress. You would think her and her 'staff' would check that everything looks good and then double and triple check it again before she goes out to an event and is photographed. Either her stylist or her make-up artist should be fired for not noticing this.
Oh, and FYI: further researched on Wikipedia reveals that she's an actress who starred on the CW sitcom "Girlfriends" before it was canceled.

I'm Baaaack!
it's been a hectic past several weeks...
my computer crashed leaving me virtually helpless. no warning, nothing...just wouldn't start up one morning.
i was left helpless, cup of coffee in hand, ready to work...and still nothing. thankfully, i'm skilled with a pencil and sketchbook or i wouldn't have gotten anything done during the downtime.
since i now rely on this little beauty for almost everything i do in work, art and life in general, i was really just lost! *sigh...*
it was like i lost my purse or something...Girls, YOU know what i mean.
thankfully, the hubs saved the day! *kisses!*
he was able to rescue almost everything that i had not yet saved on my external hard drive...and thank God! as i had just finished 2 graphic design projects {that were already a smidge late} and had not yet been sent to my clients. yikes!
anyway, i'm now back with a brand new top of the line operating system and my MAC is now purring again.
this weekend, i will be tying up loose ends {i.e. announcing give-a-way winners, going thru posts, etc...} and giving you more art, more gossip, more of everything you love to hate...and i'll be having a give-a-way of my own this week too, so look out!
p.s. a super huge THANK YOU to all who emailed me to make sure i was ok. i can't tell you how much that meant to me.
i missed you too!

Freaky Friday...Black or White
Michael Jackson (who just turned 50) was recently in Las Vegas, hanging out in a tuxedo jacket – and pajama bottoms. What a fashion plate!
You can't stop staring at that photo, can you?
He looks so much like a white woman now. Thankfully, he's wearing glasses to cover up most of that mess.
But, let's take a moment to reflect and remember that for most of his 50 years he didn't look like so much of a freak. He was actually born a black male and was quite good looking back in the day, pre-plastic surgery/skin lightening, etc.... {photo below only, cuz in the photo at right, he's already had some work done, but just not an extremely disturbing amount.}
And, now, fast forward through years of surgery and the face masks, the tape, the messed up nose, the skin lightening, the face lifts, etc....
I just wish that people with plastic surgery addictions would realise that others actually have to look at them.
It's just scary!

Time to Play Latina
"Sometime Latina" {whenever it's convenient for her} Jessica Alba joined Rosario Dawson in Denver for the Democratic National Convention. Rosario's mission is to gather all of her Hollywood Latin and Latina friends in order to encourage other Latinos to vote.
Jennifer Lopez, whom we love 'cuz she's "Jenny from the Block" and proud to be Latina, also made an appearance.
We love seeing her out and about. She looks absolutely fabulous in her red dress so soon after giving birth to twins. Go Jenny, Go Jenny...Go!
